ABOUT THE SUMMIT

The  Public Health & Tobacco Summit Asia (PHATSA), will be held  in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 12, 2023 and has been convened by  academics  across clinical, research and policy disciplines under the banner of Monash University Malaysia.

The main objective of PHATSA is to establish a safe and reliable platform, to discuss the pertinent and challenging issues revolving around tobacco use harm, public health issues of tobacco use, regulation and legislation, and safer alternatives to tobacco smoking and potential for treatment. The various local and international expert sessions and discussions, will position participants at a balanced, evidence-based level of critical thinking, to help understand this public health issue, and in making sound judgement.  PHATSA seeks to provide a platform for thoughtful analysis of the latest research and to discuss how the evidence should be interpreted and communicated to deliver the most effective health strategies.

The organisation of the event, participation of speakers and the evidences provided in the sessions, are neither influenced or funded in any form by the tobacco or vape industry.
